Strong as hell. One of the greatest actors we ever had. Such a great man to talk to and laugh with. Loved him so much. We all did. So many movies to choose from that were legendary. Watch them when you can. Sending his wife Luciana and all his family and friends… pic.twitter.com/mW5yDWi1wZ Others chimed in on X, including Duvall’s “Days Of Thunder” co-star Randy Quaid, who remembered one incident the actor had with director Tony Scott on the set of the 1990 Tom Cruise racing drama. Now that Tony and Robert are both departed to heaven and I hope laughing together I have never seen an actor rip a director a new asshole quite like Duvall did on Days of Thunder. Two underrated Robert Duvall movies — Colors and The Paper. Honorable mention: Days of Thunder. Such a tremendous actor.
