If you're daydreaming about donating half of your kids' toys while they're asleep, this post is for you.

I have two kids under 4, so you can imagine what a chaotic place our playroom turns into when I set them free in there. To combat the endless mountain of toys, we've acquired a number of baskets, Ikea storage shelves, a stuffed animal tower, and a Magna-Tile storage bin — but there's always room for improvement! Dive in and see which of these products will help de-clutter your kiddo's space, too.

We have this in our playroom! I'd show you a picture, but the room is a disaster, and I truthfully don't feel like cleaning up (I'm busy, I'm working!). However, when I do have the motivation to tidy up (or my toddlers agree to help), it's been easier than ever — each bin in the shelf has a designated item that lives in it. One is filled with toy cars, another with Little People, another with puzzles, etc.! We love it so much that we recently added the taller version into the mix to store bigger items (Hot Wheels tracks, Legos, etc). You won't regret welcoming storage shelving into your playroom, I promise.

Promising review: "This holds a ton of stuffed animals. I bought it for my two girls, who share a room, and their beds are overrun with stuffies. This holds so much so they can still be on display; it's easy for them to get them in and out except for the top basket, and it matches their room colors. Great quality and easy to use." —The Word Of A King

Promising review: "I grabbed this over-the-door organizer for both of my kids during Prime Days, and even though it was not the cheapest option, it is by far worth the money. The hooks fit perfectly over their doors (older house with thinner doors approx. 1.35 inches deep), the back of the organizer includes rods to keep the structure flat against the door, and it fits so many stuffies. The organizer provided needed storage for my kids’ smaller rooms. Absolutely recommend this product." —Heidi Schick

Promising review: "I have twin boys with a large collection of stuffed animals. My initial concern was that they would not be large enough, but they are plenty big. We really like the fact that the outer edge material is stretchy and pretty durable. We stretched it as far as possible to keep the animals from sagging too low to the beds. It works great, and we loaded them up with no issues. The fact that you get two for the price that others were selling for one is a great deal. I can fully recommend this product." —Levi Dunn

I wanted to find something I could leave out for my daughter to easily access and play with, without it looking like a complete mess. The quality is great, shipped super fast, and was packaged well. Would definitely recommend!" —jesscarls

Promising review: "My son had recently turned the house into a death trap with his Legos all over the floors. Walking anywhere barefoot became impossible because you would inevitably step on one and get it lodged in your foot. It got to the point where I was afraid to go anywhere at night because of the impending doom. Then we found this organizer, and since then, our lives have been saved. He can quickly and easily store all of his Legos in one place. We can now get all of them cleaned up in minutes and know that we can walk around the house in peace once again." —Chris

Promising review: "This Lego large storage head is the perfect place to store all our mini figures and other Lego accessories, including some fully constructed smaller pieces like cars and trucks. It is an amusing way to add some charm while keeping things nice and tidy in your child's room. My children find that the lid is a bit difficult for a lift-off lid, and sometimes need help removing it. While it is a little expensive, it is worth having if it means fewer tiny pieces to step on or to go missing. We love it and highly recommend it!" —A.C.

My kids have this for their Magna-Tiles, which has immensely improved my playroom situation. The sides zip down and flatten out to create a playmat (fun!) and then close up just as easily to become a storage bin again! As our collection grows, I'll definitely invest in a second one.

Promising review: "I saw this item and knew I needed to get it because his 'tiles' were getting out of hand. I stored them in several items, such as a plastic bin or a box. This is perfect because it stores them beautifully, but also you can unzip the sides, and they can play with the tiles there and then zip them back up and throw them back in. They fit wonderfully on a shelf and stack, too. I love them; they help organize my son's room." —L.A. Buchanan

Promising review: "Smaller than I thought, but still great. Helps condense and separate supplies perfectly well. Able to stack them without falling." —k.fotographs

Promising review: "I bought one for my child's door to keep little shoes, diapers, wipes, medicines, cloths, etc. in...then bought another one for my other child to keep more shoes, necklaces, little toys, cassette tapes, etc. This is a perfect way to keep things up and out of the way! And it works great for diapers and little shoes!!! The pockets are not large enough to hold some pairs of my preschooler's tennis shoes. They are one shoe per pocket. But otherwise, they are quite big. About five size-4 diapers fit per pocket to give you some idea. :)" —T L

Promising review: "I ordered this basket to store my sons’ play vacuums, push toys, etc. I’ve been looking for a big, sturdy basket for a few months and finally found this one. It’s a great size, looks cute, and still allows their toy to be accessible all day." —Maddy Sue

Promising review: "I bought three in different colors for our playroom, and I am very happy with them. They are very thick and sturdy feeling — they don't feel cheap and flimsy. As you can see, the rainbow one is standing up best because I filled it with stuffed animals to stretch out the creases, etc. I haven't done that with the two others, so they're still a little floppy. Very happy with the purchase and would buy again!" —jhfitness

Promising review: "These are perfect for any kids’ room! I was getting so tired of messy stuffed animals and blankets all over, so it’s nice to have them out of sight, but still easily accessible. My 2-year-old loves to sit on hers and read books. She doesn’t have a ton of stuffed animals, so there is plenty of room to add to it for when her collection grows. I love the fun, bright print and sturdiness — she drags it all over the ground, but I don’t worry about it tearing at all. Just what she needed in her room." —dd

Promising reviews: "I just moved into a brand-new apartment and didn't want to put holes in the walls. I have purchased quite a variety of the 3M Command mini hooks, wire hooks, cord bundlers, picture hangers, photo bars, display shelves, extra-adhesive tabs in different sizes, etc. It will be a long time before I go back to using nails. These Command products are the greatest! I recently found one of the unused adhesive tabs in the pocket of something that had gone through the washer and dryer, and it STILL worked!!! Thanks for a terrific, easy-to-use product." —LJE

"It works well to hang smaller pictures and kids' artwork. And bonus, no holes in walls, yay!" —Zoey S.

Promising review: "Used this basket several times now to make housewarming baskets, baby showers, bridal showers, etc. I know it's something friends and family can use after holding all the other knickknacks I've included as a gift. Kids' toys, books, throw blankets, pet toys, you name it, it holds it AND looks fantastic." —Arlene

Promising review: "We have tons of hardcover and softcover kids' books, but my 4-year-old was having a hard time getting what she wanted or putting them away because if a few were removed from the shelf, everything else would tip over. This made it difficult for her to lift and shove them to reinsert a book. So I got these dividers and crossed my fingers they would clamp to the shelf well and be a really sturdy metal to resist the weight of the large books. You can see from the before and after pics that it was chaos. Two of these dividers per shelf (and, let’s face it, some purging of books) really helped. Came back for another couple of sets of dividers for other bookshelves and linen closet organization; I like them that much!" —ebindc

Promising review: "These shelves were the right length for a small corner I wanted to use for book racks in a nursery, so I gave them a try. They came very well packaged, with no chips, dents, or anything — in perfect condition. Very smooth, true bright white finish. They were easy to install by myself, with the large drywall anchors and long screws included. They stay firmly on the wall without wiggling and are deep enough to fit plenty of books. I can see these becoming nice toy display shelves in the future as well." —Hope
