Comedian Tim Dillon ― one of several so-called “manosphere” onetime podcast allies of Donald Trump who have soured on the president in recent months ― offered a blunt reality check to MAGA supporters with a damning assessment of the country’s current state.

The country is “not doing great,” he said in an episode of “The Tim Dillon Show” released this weekend.

“I know that in some areas it feels like it’s doing great, but it’s not doing great,” he continued.

Dillon pointed to the United States’ roughly $40 trillion national debt, Trump’s saber-rattling over Iran and the rising age of homeowners as just some of the factors.

“There’s a contingent of people that want you to say things are great,” he said, naming Fox News host Sean Hannity, his Fox colleagues and conservative commentator Ben Shapiro as among them. Dillon added that mainstream Democrats, meanwhile, focus too heavily on cultural and representation issues.

Dillon has previously slammed the “optics” of a lavish party at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, launched an R-rated tirade over Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy’s suggestion that airline passengers “dress up a little bit” and in November 2025 predicted that Trump’s defense of H-1B visas for high-skilled foreign workers signaled “the end of the Trump administration.”
