Pro-Trump New York Post Hits White House Over A ‘Failure’ In Its Iran War

The usually pro-Donald Trump New York Post has accused the White House of dropping the ball when it comes to briefings on the Iran war, in which seven U.S. service members have been killed to date. The editorial board of the Rupert Murdoch-owned tabloid urged officials to “start giving the public a regular, clear, concrete sense of how Operation Epic Fury is proceeding” or allow bad faith actors to fill the void, especially online. It called it a “communications failure.” Read the full editorial on the New York Post. “Right now, regular Americans and experts ‘closely monitoring the situation’ have good reason to feel confused,” it said in the opinion piece titled “Team Trump needs to start lifting the fog of the Iran war for the US public.” “A public that feels it’s being leveled with, as much as possible, will be a lot more patient than one that feels needlessly kept in the dark,” it added. “Give the nation one daily report that emphasizes the big picture and provides enough of the smaller one to build confidence.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
