The iconic Zinman Furs store is closing forever later this month, ending more than a century of business in New Jersey. The nationally renowned furrier has served customers since 1920. Zinman Furs sits on a historically significant site in Pennsauken that was once the world’s first drive-in movie theater. The store at 2901 Admiral Wilson Blvd. has been a showroom for furs, shearlings, leathers, specialty outerwear and accessories, according to the store website. The reason for the closure wasn’t announced. The last day is planned for March 31. The owners were not available for comment, according to a spokesperson at the store. The company is advertising a store-closing sale with discounts up to 80% off, according to the store’s social media. A video posted to the company’s social media page shows a $2,500 fur reduced to $888, a $3,500 coat discounted to $1,688 and a $1,900 jacket priced at $588. Zinman’s property occupies an entire city block. It houses an on-premises factory and certified cold storage for over 20,000 garments, according to the store website.
