Jesse Watters Chimes In On Hotness Of Democratic Candidates — Except 1

Jesse Watters declared former Vice President Kamala Harris “not hot” while snidely applauding Democrats for reportedly steering more toward looks in their voting preferences. But there was one name he said he wouldn’t go near. (Watch the video below.) On “The Five” Monday, Fox News panelists played off a provocative Bulwark report headlined, “Thirst Traps Over Think Tanks: Dems Want Hotter Candidates On The Ballot.” Emily Compagno credited the supposed trend to “media fawning” over California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who’s among potential candidates for president in 2028. Colleague Dana Perino said the “Love Story” miniseries dramatizing the romance of the late John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette makes Democrats want to recreate “JFK.” When it came time for Watters’ analysis, the co-host sunk into his frequently obnoxious patter. First he revisited Perino’s take that Harris was unsuccessful in her presidential bid despite being “objectively beautiful.” “I have to disagree with Dana,” Watters said. “I didn’t think Kamala was hot. ... I don’t know. I mean, she was OK. But if we’re talking hot, she’s not hot.” Co-panelist Greg Gutfeld then mentioned Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.). “I’m not going to go there,” Watters replied, perhaps slamming the brakes because Ocasio-Cortez has accused him of sexual harassment for previous remarks. “He has sexualized me on his show,” she said in January, months after Watters sarcastically claimed she wanted to have sex with White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller. “He has sexually harassed me on his show. He has engaged in horrific, sexually exploitative rhetoric.” Watters then gave his odious take on the general subject of attractiveness in politics. “Did you ever see the politicians before television? It was like old fat guys with no hair, with like, muttonchop sideburns. So, TV is the thing. You’ve got to have a good-looking person, and now I like the fact that Democrats have gone from, like, ‘we need a transgender native American amputee’ to just someone who is hot. And I feel like that’s progress.” By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
