Lauren Boebert Hit With Brutal Fact Check As Trump Suck-Up Goes Horribly Wrong

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) tried to validate President Donald Trump’s deployment of ICE agents at airports to ease TSA lines ― but made an embarrassing error. Boebert, who has disagreed with the president over the Epstein files and a proposed $200 billion budget boost to the war in Iran, appeared to wanna make nice with the big guy. In a video on X Monday, Boebert shared what she thought was an example of success at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. “So President Trump sends ICE agents to the airports across the country and while the rest of our country has 3-plus hour waits ― thanks, Democrats ― Minneapolis airport TSA wait time right now is less than 5 minutes,” she chirped with a laugh. “Called it!” To make matters worse, she wrote on her post, “You can’t make this stuff up.” You can’t make this stuff up!!ICE agents show up at airports, and suddenly TSA wait times in Minneapolis drop to less than five minutes!Called it!! 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/cpeD9hC45q But she apparently did make it up. ICE had yet to appear at MSP Airport, according to local news reports linked in a community note. An airport spokesperson told the Daily Beast that it is “not aware of any planned changes for security checkpoint staffing at MSP at this time” and credited short wait times to “the commitment of the local TSA team.” HuffPost has reached out to Boebert’s office for comment. Lines have slowed at airports amid a funding fight over Homeland Security that has left TSA workers temporarily unpaid. Thousands of security workers have called in sick, creating longer waits. Trump has sent ICE agents to more than a dozen airports, even though their usefulness has come under question.
