A man who forced entry into a southwest Houston home is in critical condition after being shot by the homeowner overnight Monday, the Houston Police Department said. Investigators said a man in a mask and a man with blood on his head were running down the street on Ingomar Way near Campden Hill just after midnight. Authorities said they don't know if the bloodied man was shot, hit in the head, or assaulted. The bloodied man then went knocking on the doors of several homes in the area, police said. In a video obtained by ABC13, the bloodied man can be seen shouting for help multiple times while banging on someone's door. Authorities said the man eventually made his way to a home in the 4800 block, where he kicked in the door, forced himself inside, and was then shot multiple times by the homeowner. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the masked man took off running in an unknown direction, police said. According to authorities, the masked suspect is still at large. Neighbors were shocked to learn about the shooting. "We don't have that over here," Gerald Conkrite said. "It don't work like that over here no more." Police are asking anyone with information to call HPD at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS
