SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — After a near historically dry month of March, rain is expected to return to the Bay Area next week. The National Weather Service is advising of widespread and largely beneficial rain across the Bay Area and Central Coast beginning early next week. Newsom gives ‘final warning’ to one Bay Area city over housing laws While the exact timing and amounts are not yet clear, the NWS says Monday will stay dry with rain possible Tuesday through Thursday. Some areas could see up to an inch of rain, according to the weather service. However, KRON4 Meteorologist John Shrable says rain totals are likely to be light, with most areas only seeing about a tenth of an inch. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
