"My parents and I have always been interested in the space program. We watched Cosmos together when I was in elementary school (the original one with Carl Sagan) and got emotional. 

I also want to add that as someone who has always been interested in the space program and is Gen X, yes, I DID watch the Challenger launch on live TV, and yes, I DID see the disaster happen in real time, and yes, I DID grieve for a long time. So when I watch a launch live, I do have some feeling of trepidation. I am so glad it went well."
