Person dies after stabbing at Ohio State Lincoln Tower turf fields

A person has died April 11 after being stabbed on Ohio State University’s Lincoln Tower turf fields April 10, according to OSU police. The stabbing occurred during an altercation between two groups of people on the turf fields, which are east of Cannon Drive and north of John H. Herrick Drive. One person was stabbed at about 7:45 p.m. during the fight. The victim was transported to Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center. Police responded to the scene and detained the suspect, according to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Ohio State Police. The police department again posted on the social media platform at 2:36 p.m. April 11 saying that the stabbing victim had died. Police have not identified the victim, only saying that "Our thoughts are with his family." A suspect is still in custody and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
