'He Pulled It Off': Sean Hannity Incredibly Blames Mamdani For Problem Far From City Hall

Sean Hannity took a wild swing and a miss Monday in appearing to blame New York City Mayor “Zohran Marxist Commie Mamdani” for the Mets’ 11-game losing streak. (Watch the video below.) The Fox News host introduced the segment with a clip of the progressive mayor singing “The Wheels on the Bus” to Bronx preschoolers with former President Barack Obama on Saturday. But Hannity strayed into the baseball team’s woes, showing images of Mamdani in a light moment with the Mr. and Mrs. Met mascots. “And by the way, the New York Mets? They are on an 11-game losing streak, including, oh, right after the mayor met and hugged the team mascot, Mr. Met, at Citi Field on April 9, a phenomenon people are calling the ‘Mamdani Curse.’ “It’s kind of hard to lose 11 games in a row in baseball, but he pulled it off,” Hannity said. The conservative host was presumably not taking this too seriously, as colleague Emily Compagno laughed. Hannity went on to criticize social safety nets such as Social Security, Medicaid Medicare and Obamacare while claiming Mamdani’s intent was to “indoctrinate” children when they are 1 and 2. “It’s not enough that he has to destroy our city, but he has to destroy our sports too,” Compagno chimed in. Despite the second highest payroll in MLB behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Mets are mired in a skid that is the team’s worst since 2004.
