Two men and three boys have been charged in connection with an alleged rape in Gravesend.

Kent Police received reports a teenage girl was raped at a property in Salisbury Road between 25 March and 19 April.

Ionut Dobre, 33, of Cleanthus Road in Woolwich, has been charged with rape. Two boys, both 16, and another boy, 15, all from Gravesend, have also been charged with rape. Benone Inofte, 46, of Salisbury Road, has been charged with aiding and abetting a rape.

They appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court on Friday and will next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on 22 May.

Four of those charged, including both men, are Romanian nationals. One of the 16-year-old boys is British.

Both men remain in custody. Two of the boys have been remanded into youth detention. The third boy is in the care of the local authority.
