With presidents, cowboys and A-listers - King Charles in US over the years

King Charles III has been making official visits to the US throughout his adult life, but his first trip since being crowned monarch may be his most interesting yet. On Monday, he will arrive for an official state visit where he will travel to Washington DC, Virginia and New York before departing for Bermuda. The US trip is the first by a reigning British monarch in almost 20 years, since Queen Elizabeth II accepted an invitation from President George W Bush in 2007. His past trips have included playing polo in Florida, chatting to presidents as far back as Richard Nixon and meeting American A-list celebrities. King Charles and Queen Camilla will meet with President Donald Trump during a four-day state visit. Family and supporters of Virginia Giuffre repeated calls for King Charles to meet Epstein survivors. Simon Weston says reports the US is reviewing the UK's claim to the territory makes his sacrifice feel "irrelevant". The state visit to the US looks fraught with difficulty - but could be key to rescuing the special relationship. A Buckingham Palace source confirmed the Royals will not meet with survivors of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during their state visit to the US.
