I never exited the station where I was supposed to transfer, and ended up somewhere very far away in the opposite direction.

If I had to give any words of advice, definitely go during the week if you can. I went on a Wednesday.

On the weekdays, you probably don't even have to wake up at the crack of dawn to see him. (Feeding times for Monkey Mountain, where Punch is housed, are around noon and 3 p.m.)

What also might have worked out for me was that a few days prior, the weather report said it might rain on and off that day. (I got lucky. It ended up being a beautiful Spring day.)

And as you can see, a third monkey looked like he was enjoying himself on the branches. 

I couldn't spot Oren-mama at all, which points to a good sign that he's growing more confident in how he interacts with the troop.
