A famous actor said, “They fired me because I wanted to go home for Christmas and be with my family.”

As a staff writer at BuzzFeed, I write about all things celeb and pop culture.

In an additional statement, his rep denied the allegations, telling E! News, "Geoff never said Superman can't have a Black ancestor or be Black — there have been diverse versions of Superman throughout the comics for decades, so he does and can be diverse."

He continued, "It never came to light, but concurrently, on Guiding Light [the soap opera he left in 2003], there was a killer in town, and they needed somebody to pin it all on, and so my executive producer very kindly wanted to free me up just in case this job came through and said, 'Hey, you're going to be the killer, we're writing you off the show, go with my blessing.' I basically got fired, but in a generous way.... I had signed a three-picture deal with Warner Brothers."

Previously, author Jackie Collins told Gaydar Radio, "Matt Bomer, who is the most gorgeous looking guy and the star of White Collar, he had not come out of the closet, but people in the know knew he was gay. His audition tape went in, and he called up the agent, and somebody didn't like him and told [the producers] he was gay. They said, 'No, no, we can't cast you.' The reason he didn't get cast was because he was gay."

At the time, a source alleged to E!, "Matt was Brett [Ratner]'s Superman. He would never have not cast Matt because he's gay. Brett knew Matt was gay. They're good friends. Matt not being Superman had nothing to do with his sexuality. It was because the director changed."

Warner Bros. didn't respond to BuzzFeed's request for comment.

"I want to stick my feet in and say, 'No, this is not what we're going to stand for. Look at the world around you. Look at North America right now. It's a melting pot of cultures from all around the world. You cannot turn around and tell one kid or one person or one type of person, because of the color of their skin, that they need to be treated a certain way. Yes, they've done it for centuries. But come on now! We're in the [21st] century, and we really need to step up for ourselves and the future generation," she said.

Kaya's parents divorced when she was little.

In 2018, she told the Big Issue, "My mum and I spent our first night in London on the streets. I was 4 years old. We were picked up and put into temporary accommodation in a B&B on Holloway Road and then into temporary housing. That is how I started my life in London."

Time also reported that the Weinsteins blocked Samantha's casting because "they wanted a more conventionally beautiful actress."

He continued, "The wonderful woman doing makeup, who like me had came up from the film world, had never dealt with a 'network' before. She was so strong with me in the trailer as the executive determined my look on the show."

He later added, "The way this industry has contributed to women hating their bodies is just ONE of the many things I've abhorred for so long. I know a lot of us men generally stay silent with our challenges in this arena."
