There are a lot of new and returning shows to check out this summer, including the return of “Ted Lasso,” our new romance obsession in “Off Campus,” another “Big Bang Theory” spinoff, and more.

When House of the Dragon returns, we are put right in the middle of a war as doom and ruin surround everyone and everything as the Battle of the Gullet approaches. With Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy) on a path to restore her rightful place on the throne, Ormund Hightower (James Norton), the cousin of Alicent (Olivia Cooke), arrives in Westeros ready to fight Rhaenyra and her followers, and "restore the rightful king." While last season was a lot of setup, this season finally puts viewers in the middle of a battle, that will prove costly and deadly for both sides.

When it returns: June 21 on HBO and HBO Max (episodes air weekly)

After a bit of a hiatus, Ted Lasso returns with new episodes this summer. In Season 4, Ted (Jason Sudeikis) returns to AFC Richmond, where he's now put in charge of coaching a second division women's football team. Alongside Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift reprise their roles from the first three seasons, alongside a new cast of characters.

When it returns: Aug. 5 on Apple TV (episodes air weekly)

Interview with the Vampire returns, but this time, we're covering the second book in Anne Rice's series with The Vampire Lestat. This new season follows Lestat (Sam Reid) as the world's first immortal rock star, as he embarks on a multi-city tour. While Lestat's new lifestyle has him moving wherever and experiencing all different places (and people), he's still haunted by "muses" from his rebellious past, like Louis (Jacob Anderson).

When it returns: June 7 on AMC and AMC+ (episodes air weekly)

The Other Bennet Sister is based on the book by Janice Hadlow and is a continuation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The show follows Mary Bennet (Ella Bruccoleri), the Bennet family's overlooked sister. The first two episodes detail the events of Pride and Prejudice from Mary's POV, showing how she watched as all her sisters married, leaving her alone at home with her parents. Now, it's Mary's turn to find herself (and maybe love) as she discovers what the world has to offer outside of her family.

One of the most underrated comedy series from last year, Deli Boys, returns with its second season. Turns out inheriting a criminal empire you knew nothing about was the easy part, because as Mir (Asif Ali) and Raj (Saagar Shaikh) soon find out, more money really does mean more problems. With the sketchiest crooks in Philly circling their operation, they now come in contact with Max Sugar (Fred Armisen), a casino king and money launderer, who has eyes for Lucky (Poorna Jagannathan). What ensues is a chaotic situationship that only the Dars could somehow end up in.

When it returns: May 28 on Hulu (all episodes)

In the third season of this beloved dystopian series, Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) survives her forced exile and returns to the silo with memory loss. She soon learns that while she was gone, the silo is recovering from a rebellion and now faces a dangerous new threat. This season also reveals the "Before Times," aka what happened before the silo, as we learn about journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman), who uncover a conspiracy theory that pulls them deeper and deeper into a chain of events that have irreversible consequences. 

When it returns: July 3 on Apple TV (episodes air weekly)

Adapted from Elle Kennedy's Off Campus and Briar University universe, Off Campus follows Hannah Wells (Ella Bright), a songwriter at Briar U, who has just found out her scholarship might be in trouble. As she navigates a potential pivot, she meets Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli), the school's all-star hockey player. While Hannah and Garrett come from different worlds, they soon realize that they can help each other out, but some fake dating might be necessary. This show feels like a throwback to 2000s The CW shows in the best way. And, don't worry, it's already been renewed for Season 2.

The fifth and final season of The Bear returns in June, and it picks up right where Season 4 ended. Literally, the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Sugar (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has quit and left them the restaurant. With no money and the threat of a sale, the new partners must come together with the rest of the beloved team to deliver one last, amazing service, in the hopes of finally earning a coveted Michelin star.

When it returns: June 25 on FX on Hulu and Disney+

Inspired by Martin Scorsese's chilling remake, Cape Fear follows Anna (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson), who are married attorneys. Soon, their lives are turned upside down when Max Cady (Javier Bardem), the notorious serial killer they are responsible for putting behind bars, is let out of prison — and he wants vengeance. If the movie is any indication, this will be a haunting TV series that could likely find itself right in the middle of awards season love.

In Rivals Season 2, the battle for the Central South West television franchise reaches a fever pitch as the war between Corinium and Venturer enters a new phase. More ruthless than ever, Tony Baddingham (David Tennant) is determined to dismantle his rivals piece by piece, using scandal and manipulating those closest to him to maintain his grip on power. Basically, everything is in chaos. Marriages fracture under the weight of ambition, illicit affairs threaten to shatter families, and long-buried secrets ignite with explosive consequences.

When it returns: May 15 on Hulu and/or Disney+ (three episodes, then airs weekly)

Based on Carley Fortune's book, Every Summer After, this new series is set over the course of six years and one magical week in Barry's Bay, the quintessential lake town. Season 1 follows Percy (Sadie Soverall) and Sam (Matt Cornett), and their will-they-won't-they love story. The season picks up with Percy returning to Barry's Bay for a weekend, when she's suddenly forced to confront past mistakes, lost love, and more. Will she and Sam be able to find their way back to each other?

Created by Mindy Kaling, Not Suitable for Work follows five work-obsessed twenty-somethings all striving to meet their goals and achieve their dreams in various careers. However, while building your career can be hard, everyone soon finds out that personal happiness is equally as challenging, especially when they're trying to "have it all" in NYC.

The series sees the duo leave behind their complicated past at Yellowstone and relocate to a ranch in Texas. As they try to build a new life for themselves, and Carter (Finn Little), they find themselves in the middle of a 190-year-old family empire led by local rancher Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening).

From My Old Ass writer/director Megan Park comes her new drama series, Sterling Point. The series follows 17-year-old Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin), who is a pretty typical teenager. Raised in NYC with her twin brother (Keen Ruffalo) and adoptive father (Jay Duplass), Annie's life is suddenly turned upside down when she inherits her mysterious grandfather's island in Canada. Now, she finds new friends and budding romances, all while family secrets surface that change everything.

Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss, Lucky must fight for her life and find a way out of this mess.

Based on Elin Hilderbrand's book, The Five-Star Weekend follows Hollis Shaw (Jennifer Garner), a renowned cook and bestselling author, who suffers a devastating loss. Unable to move forward, the death starts to expose the cracks in Hollis’s picture-perfect life, namely her strained marriage, her complicated relationship with her daughter, and her growing pursuit of validation from her fans. In an effort to overcome her grief, Hollis gets the idea to host a weekend away at her house on Nantucket with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her 20s, her 30s, and one surprise fifth star.

The Four Seasons returns with a second season that finds our group of friends — Kate (Tina Fey), Jack (Will Forte), Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), Danny (Colman Domingo), Claude (Marco Calvani), and Ginny (Erika Henningsen) — coming off a pretty tough year. But they carry on their tradition of vacationing together, now with a baby in tow. This season, they journey from the familiar comforts of the Jersey shore and upstate New York to a more lavish landscape of Italy. As they embark on new adventures together, they continue to explore the highs, lows, and humor of enduring lifelong friendships and love.

Stuart Fails to Save the Universe is the latest spinoff of The Big Bang Theory, and this time, Chuck Lorre and team are genre-bending the confines of the traditional sitcom. Stuart (Kevin Sussman), Bert (Brian Posehn), and Denise (Lauren Lapkus) from The Big Bang Theory find themselves in new realities, including one that's an "apocalyptic nightmare" ruled by Kripke (John Ross Bowie). Yes, Stuart and his friends now find themselves in their own reality-bending, comic-book-like adventure, trying to put everything back the right way.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder returns with Season 2, which is based on the second book in Holly Jackson's series. After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip (Emma Myers) is determined to fix the fallout and avoid further investigations. However, as Max Hastings's (Henry Ashton) trial approaches, someone else goes missing. This time, Connor's (Jude Morgan-Collie) brother Jamie (Eden H. Davies) is the victim. So, Pip and Ravi (Zain Iqbal) find themselves in another race against time to find him.

When it returns: May 27 on Netflix (all episodes)

Set years after the Chroma Conclave, Vox Machina has separated while they live their lives outside of the group, searching for love, family, and purpose. But this is Vox Machina after all, and soon the call of adventure brings them back together. When a long-slumbering evil awakens to threaten the realm, they must reunite to take on an epic foe. Based on Critical Role's first campaign, Season 4 marks the penultimate season of this beloved animated series.

When it returns: June 3 on Prime Video (three episodes, then airs weekly)

After voicing the character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Nicolas Cage takes on his first-ever TV role as Spider-Noir. This new live-action series follows Ben Reilly (Cage), an aging, down-on-his-luck private investigator, who grapples with his past life as the only superhero in 1930s NYC, known as The Spider. He's soon forced to grapple with his past life following a deeply personal tragedy.

Based on the book series of the same name by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and premiering 52 years after the original TV show, Little House on the Prairie tells the story of the Ingalls family. Part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West, Little House on the Prairie depicts how this tight-knit family built a home for themselves and survived during the 1870s. The show has already been renewed for Season 2.

Convinced she witnessed a crime, while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis, Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a great conspiracy. These extraordinary circumstances could also hold the key to rebuilding her family and sense of self.

The DC Universe expands even more this summer with Lanterns. The series follows John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops who are drawn into a dark mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. Their investigation leads them to darker mysteries that they'll be forced to reconcile with.

Criminal Minds: Evolution returns with a new season this summer. As the BAU investigates a string of new cases, Elias Voit (Zach Gilford) embarks on a path to atone for his past. His newfound infamy inadvertently awakens the BAU's most formidable nemesis yet, The Fan. Precise, calculating, and relentlessly dangerous, this UnSub pushes the team to the brink and back under the shadow of Elias Voit. But how far will The Fan go to prove his superiority over his idol?

When it returns: May 28 on Paramount+ (episodes air weekly)

The second season of this live-action adaptation continues Aang's (Gordon Cormier) journey to master all four elements in hopes of restoring balance to the world after the Fire Nation's invasion. This season picks up after a bittersweet victory, saving the Northern Water Tribe from the Fire Nation. Now, Aang, Katara (Kiawentiio), and Sokka (Ian Ousley) regroup and set off on a new mission, which leads them to the elusive Earth King. Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 sees the introduction of Toph (Miyako) from the animated series, too.

When it returns: June 25 on Netflix (all episodes)

Set in a picturesque retirement community in New Mexico, The Boroughs follows new arrival Sam Cooper (Alfred Molina), who is feeling like this so-called paradise is more like a prison. But everything changes when a terrifying nighttime encounter reveals that something monstrous is stalking the pristine community. Dismissed by the powers that be as just another confused old man, Sam finds an unlikely alias in a band of neighborhood misfits: a sharp-witted former journalist, a spiritual seeker, a cynical music manager, and a brilliant doctor running out of options. These unlikely heroes must band together to unravel the dark truth at the heart of The Boroughs before their time runs out.

A prequel to Legally Blonde, this new series follows a high school-aged Elle Woods (Lexi Minetree) living her best life until her parents rock her world: They are moving. Now, Elle finds herself as a new kid at a Seattle high school, which may as well be a totally different planet than where she came from. The show explores all of the life experiences that helped shape Elle Woods before she attends Harvard Law School. The show has already been renewed for Season 2.

The Hawk follows Lonnie Hawkins (Will Ferrell), who was 2004's number 1 golfer, as he struggles at the end of his career to recapture his former magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he's not done yet. His ex-wife and his son, Lance (Jimmy Tatro), golf's new golden boy, know he's through. But with one more major to win to complete golf's elusive Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he's anything other than one good stroke away from the best comeback in golf history.

Based on Harlan Coben's book of the same name, I Will Find You follows David (Sam Worthington), who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son. He needs to break out of prison to hopefully uncover the truth of what really happened to his son and clear his name.

Nemesis follows Det. What starts as a series that aims to subvert the heist genre at every turn, amped with thrilling life-or-death stakes, family dynamics, and explosive action, ultimately becomes an exploration of what drives us, sustains us, and ultimately destroys us.

The hum triggers nose bleeds, migraines, and insomnia, and there is no obvious source or medical explanation. Then, after weeks of suffering, the strain starts to fracture her relationship with family, friends, and colleagues. Claire soon discovers that a student of hers can also hear it, too. Now, this unlikely friendship gradually transforms into something more extreme, with devastating consequences.

In the fifth season of this beloved series, things are changing for our Magnolia girls. Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher) is grappling with the demands of a new job, while multiple citizens of Serenity seek balance and happiness as they chase their dreams, navigate old and new relationships, and redefine what they want from themselves and each other. This season sees Maddie, Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), and Helen (Heather Headley) leave Serenity for New York and beyond, as they meet new challenges the same way they always have: with passion, humor, love, and of course, a margarita or two.
