Full New Mexico primary results.

(NewsNation) — Former U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, a Democrat, is projected to square off with Republican Gregg Hull in the November election for New Mexico governor, Decision Desk HQ projects.

They will compete to replace outgoing New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, a Democrat, who is term-limited.

Haaland, a former Biden administration cabinet member, took on Bernalillo County District Attorney Sam Bregman in the Democratic primary. Hull, former mayor of Rio Rancho, prevailed over Ultra Health CEO Duke Rodriguez and founder of Agenda Global Doug Turner.

Former Las Cruces Mayor Ken Miyagishima is also running for governor as an independent. He was not on Tuesday’s primary ballots.
