“The Daily Show” host Jordan Klepper talked a Donald Trump voter into making an unexpected admission during a visit to an event celebrating America’s 250th birthday in New Orleans.

The exchange, which aired Thursday, began with the man insisting the country is finally heading “in a better direction” under Trump.

But his confidence quickly unravelled as Klepper dug deeper.

“He ran on no new wars,” Klepper told the supporter.

“Very true,” the man acknowledged.

“What do you think about all the new wars?” Klepper asked.

“True,” the man replied. “You got me there.”

Klepper then turned to the Jeffrey Epstein files, which Trump has drawn accusations from some supporters of a lack of transparency surrounding the convicted sex offender’s case.

“Release those Epstein files?” Klepper asked.

“I agree there,” the man said, before suggesting that recent military conflicts were being used as a distraction.

“The wars are more so to cover that, to get people’s attention away from that so nobody’s focused,” he said.

Klepper then asked the supporter whether he’d (theoretically) vote for Trump again.

“I don’t know,” the man admitted.

“Starting a war to distract from not releasing the Epstein files is definitely an almost deal breaker,” Klepper observed.

“Yes,” the man replied.
