A federal investigation is underway in Missouri after a tragic plane crash that killed 11 skydivers and their pilot. Witnesses say that shortly after taking off Sunday morning, the private plane struggled to gain altitude. Then it made a sharp left turn, according to the airport's acting manager, who said the pilot may have been attempting an emergency landing on a nearby highway when the plane went down. NBC's Maggie Vespa reports for TODAY.
