Hear me out: It was tasty enough for breakfast in a pinch, but I wouldn't have minded a little sweetness (perhaps dark chocolate shavings...). The texture was sort of like what I imagine cold oatmeal to be like, but not as forwardly mushy. I loved the texture of the coconut and dried raspberries, though. The berries were the tastiest with their acidity and minimal seeds, which can be notoriously annoying to chew. Maybe the cocoa-free version is better?

I was skeptical, as I've had crispbreads in the past that aren't far off from hardtack (I imagine, anyway). But Ikea's iteration had a more forgiving texture than some competitors. There was plenty of air throughout the crumb that made it light and easy to munch on. Its bready, earthy flavor was apparent and versatile, if you feel like some Swedish charcuterie. 

When in Sverige! I'm no stranger to tinned fish, whether it's supermarket tuna or bougie pickled mussels. That said, this was still very fishy in flavor. If you don't genuinely love that taste, this will likely be too potent for you. However, if you do like fish, know that the creamy dressing was very balanced and tasty. It reminded me of macaroni salad: herby, tangy, sweet, and sour (in a pickle-like way). 

There are several iterations of this Ikea drink, but I'm a sucker for green juice. It was very apple heavy with sweet-tart notes that rounded out the bitter earthiness of the fennel and greens. TBH, I feel like I wouldn't clock it as green juice right away if I didn't already know, thanks to its thick, silky texture. That said, I liked that I could feel the purées on my tongue, which were slightly fibrous and pulpy.

Two chocolate candy bars by the same name — one decidedly tastier. The Snickers-like pick boasted the tender crunch of nuts in caramel. It was easier to eat than expected; there was ample space between the nuts and fillings for painless chewing, like baklava. However, the caramel was a bit one-note for me, albeit thick and buttery.

The Twix dupe was my preference. The cookie had a malty flavor and slightly grainy texture that made for an intriguing crumble with each bite. The caramel felt richer and more flavorful (even slightly floral). The chocolate (on both bars) was sweet and creamy. All that was missing for me was a touch of salt.

Ikea has a number of cookies labeled Kafferep. These are a dead ringer for Barnum's Animal Crackers in flavor. But in terms of texture, these Ikea cookies were super unexpected. They had a borderline sticky crunch (like molasses cookies, IMO), but a craggy interior with pockets of air that still allowed the cookies to crumble as I chewed. As tasty as these were, the almonds were lowkey undetectable.

I had to try this imported Swedish cheese even though it wasn't a store-brand pick, although I'm sure Ikea is one of the best (if not only, depending on where you live) places to shop for it. It had a delightfully creamy mouthfeel. In terms of taste, it offered slight funk, like mild cheddar or an amped-up Babybel with the texture of Manchego. It was mild and creamy, and nuanced without being overly milky or salty. 

These taste *exactly* like Panera Bread's potato chips to me. Visually, they're generally larger and more uniform in shape, but they have the same delectably greasy and evenly, adequately salted taste. It would be very easy to accidentally down the whole bag in one sitting. Bonus: The name means "celebratory" in Swedish, because a full chip bowl makes a party — how cute is that?!

Another instance of same-name products that are both tasty, but not equal in deliciousness. The berry pick was my second favorite; the strawberry flavor had big Mike and Ike energy, currant was like a bright, floral Swedish Fish, blueberry was just that, and raspberry wasn't as tart as I'd hoped.

As much as I enjoyed the berry assortment (who can deny a heart-shaped candy?), which had a chewy-yet-soft texture, the sour cola gummies blew me away. They were even more tender, which made them that much easier to keep scarfing down. The cola flavor was citrusy and vibrant with notes of lemon, cherry, and ginger, all of which were amplified by the sour coating.

Full disclosure: These have been my favorite Ikea snack since the first time I tried them. Yes, I’m biased — my love for raspberry knows no bounds. So, this iteration of Kafferep is my personal top choice overall, but from a more objective food-writer perspective, it comes in second place. The cookies have a crumbly, buttery, shortbread-like quality, and the sweet-and-sour filling offers juicy, chewy pull, all on its own without the help of cream filling. And hey, more heart-shaped snacks!

I have another confession. My boyfriend and I ate these so darn fast that I forgot to snap a photo! But alas, these are *the* best Ikea snack right now (if you ask me, of course). The cookie was a bit thicker than the raspberry equivalent, vanilla-forward, and just salty enough, like a Vienna Finger. The cream was rich and generously applied. But man, the lemon filling! It played off the buttery cookies and sweet cream just right, bowling my taste buds over with a vibrant burst of citrus. Run, don't walk — and thank me later.
