You’re sure to laugh at these auditions for “The Daily Show” — but not because anyone messed up.

The parody news show is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and as part of the celebration, it released a video mashup of auditions from its past and current stars.

That includes Jordan Klepper, John Oliver, Desi Lydic, Michael Kosta, Jessica Williams, Samantha Bee, Ed Helms and even Michael Che — the latter of whom was a correspondent on “The Daily Show” for just a few months in 2014 before departing for “Saturday Night Live.”

And although every audition proves why each comedian was hired for the coveted comedy gig, there are some definite standouts.

Current co-host Ronny Chieng, for example, seems to have only needed eight words to nail his audition.

In the clip, then-host Trevor Noah sets Chieng up by introducing him as a “senior social media correspondent” who is there to discuss “the impact and use of social media in politics.”

“Trevor,” Chieng responds. “People on Facebook are so fucking stupid!”

The clip then quickly cuts out as the crew behind the camera can be heard cracking up.

Josh Johnson, another current co-host, had the gall to diss longtime host Jon Stewart directly to his face during his audition. During the setup for the burn, Johnson discusses the 2024 presidential candidates, President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden.

“We’re really going to do a reboot?” Johnson’s correspondent asks Stewart. “The same guys as a few years ago, but now they’re older? It’s lazy.”

Stewart agrees with Johnson’s take. But considering that Stewart himself had recently returned to “The Daily Show” to host after a messy period in which the show was scrambling to replace departed host Noah, Stewart gets a little paranoid and asks Johnson: “We’re still talking about Trump and Biden, right?”

“It just doesn’t make sense!” Johnson continues, echoing griping fans at the time of Stewart’s return. “They already had this job! And now they’re back? Go do something else. It’s so desperate. Let someone else run the show.”

“By show,” Stewart says after a pause, “you mean the presidency?”

“I said what I said!” Johnson shoots back.

John Oliver, former “Daily Show” correspondent and current host of “Last Week Tonight,” also had a very funny fix for Stewart in his audition about how they could get around the fact that they both have the same first name.
