The parents of a motorcyclist who died after a crash have paid tribute to their "darling boy". Holton Knott, 19, from Chatteris in Cambridgeshire, was involved in a collision on High Street, Trumpington, near Cambridge at about 20:50 BST on 11 August, and died the next day. Cambridgeshire Police said a 69-year-old Cambridge man arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving had been released on bail until 11 November. In a statement, Knott's parents thanked family and friends for their support after receiving the "unimaginable news that our darling boy was involved in a horrific accident". "After a great effort from all the team at Addenbrooke's Hospital, it was clear Holton wasn't going to survive," they said. "We appreciate the kind-hearted messages and offers of support by many a friend and family member." Knott had been driving his black Honda motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with a silver Jaguar XF outside the Green Man pub, police said. Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Do you have a story suggestion for Cambridgeshire? Contact us below. Follow Cambridgeshire news on BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram and X.
