White House Comms Chief's Response To Ossoff's Trump Dig Seems A Tad ... Unhinged?

White House communications director Steven Cheung doesn’t appear to have appreciated the recent digs made about President Donald Trump by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.). During a campaign speech on Sunday, the Georgia Democrat laid into the president’s lackadaisical performance on the war on Iran and his recent habit of sleeping through meetings. But Ossoff’s quip about aide Natalie Harp, who joined Trump’s staff in 2022 and has become a close presence to Trump, is the one that went viral. “He doesn’t want to do the job,” Ossoff said. “He wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar.” Quite the reaction from this crowd as Jon Ossoff says Trump “wants to build the ballroom and travel with Natalie” pic.twitter.com/wzgTpRSDVW Harp’s close relationship with the president has been noted for a while. The New York Times in 2024 reported that Harp has written messages to Trump that include statements such as “You are all that matters to me” and “I want to bring you joy.” Ossoff’s crack at Trump apparently bugged Cheung, who has a reputation for scorched-Earth social media posts bordering on the unhinged. In case you’re wondering, yes, Cheung’s response to Ossoff’s Trump digs was definitely on brand. “Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics,” he wrote. “Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he’s a miserable person who hates this country. It’s because he’s a radical, extremist Dumocrat.” Jon Jackoff has to be the biggest cuck loser in politics. Instead of denigrating hard working people serving their country, Jon should look deep into his soul and ask himself why he's a miserable person who hates this country. It's because he's a radical, extremist Dumocrat. https://t.co/rAUJofbdx0 HuffPost reached out to Ossoff’s campaign for comment, but no one immediately responded. But, of course, there was social media scuttlebutt to Cheung’s post. It appears that @ossoff touched a nerve by mentioning Trump's odd relationship with "human printer" Natalie Harp. Seems like something that media should explore! https://t.co/f8fwH96UiH If this is the crash out Trumps staff are doing right now, then it sounds like the hit dog is hollering https://t.co/CnoHN0U5NB Can you imagine the press coverage if a Democratic White House employed a disgusting pig monster like this tub of shit? https://t.co/O23nbFXmpg Uh oh the Cheung is pissed! This triggered the MAGAs https://t.co/nRoByps5nJ What a complete piece of shit this Cheung is. How in the world is he working in the White House? https://t.co/oQpmq9VmLB I bet Steven also writes Trump letters that read “You are all that matters to me.” https://t.co/ra6qs2yiT6 On Monday afternoon, a reporter asked Trump about Ossoff’s remarks. As the clip below shows, the president referred to the Senator as “Pee-wee Herman” before he changed the subject to the White House ballroom. 🚨OH SHIT. A reporter just asked Trump about Ossoff’s “traveling with Natalie” comment: REPORTER: “Ossoff said you’d rather travel with Natalie Harp than do your job as president. Your response?”TRUMP: “You mean Pee Wee Herman?”He then CHANGED ATHE SUBJECT to his BALLROOM.… pic.twitter.com/PhMLkBRjMR By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
