(NewsNation) — Voters in Florida will decide on their party's nomination for governor, U.S. House, and U.S. Senate in the primary elections on Tuesday.

Six Democrats and 11 Republicans are vying for the state's top office in the Florida governor primary election. Current Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has reached his term limit after serving since 2019.

Votes will select their party's candidate for each of the 28 U.S. House Districts in Florida.

A special primary election is being held to fill the vacancy in the U.S. Senate left by Republican Marco Rubio, who is now serving as U.S. Secretary of State. Two Democrats and four Republicans are racing to complete the remaining two years of his term.

Polls close at 8:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
