Jimmy Fallon shared a pretty unhinged theory about first lady Melania Trump’s whereabouts on “The Tonight Show” Monday, considering that she hasn’t been seen in public for almost a month.

In fact, her last public appearance was on July 19 at the FIFA World Cup, which means she skipped a few events you’d think the wife of the president would attend — like Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) funeral and the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“Over the weekend, President Trump made a campaign stop in Long Island and Melania Trump did not travel with him,” Fallon kicked off his monologue Monday night. “Yep, people have noticed that she’s been laying low. In fact, she hasn’t been seen in public in 29 days.”

He continued: “Trump heard and was like, ’Big deal. I haven’t seen her in private for two years.’”

He then made a crack about the president abandoning a whole load of people aboard Air Force One and using them as decoys so he could escape a possible attack from Iran in July.

“I understand Melania’s taken a step back with everything going on. She’s worried at any moment she could be trapped with Trump inside a catering truck.” And this is when Fallon shared his bonkers theory.

“Yep, no one has seen Melania. All I know is that it’s going to be crazy when we find out she ran off with Mitch McConnell.”

Much like the first lady, the Kentucky senator has been notably absent from view since he was admitted to the hospital on June 14. At the time, his office did not explain why, leading to all kinds of wild theories online about his health and whether or not the Republican is still alive. But apparently he is.
