Jimmy Kimmel emerged briefly from his summer hiatus on Tuesday to post a highlight reel as voting for the Emmy Awards gets underway ― and he used an unusual “fan” to make the case: President Donald Trump.

The supercut video shows the president’s obsessive complaints about Kimmel, both in comments made to the press and in his social media posts, where he has not only verbally attacked the host, but has even demanded that ABC take him off the air.

“Thank you, Mr President, for your consideration,” he wrote, adding the hashtag #FYC, an abbreviation of “for your consideration,” which is used as an appeal to voters during awards season.

Kimmel’s show has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Writing For A Variety Series.

Kimmel’s highlight reel comes as ABC sued the FCC, which, under Trump-appointed chair Brendan Carr, has ordered an early review of the network’s broadcast licenses.

ABC attorneys called the case “blatant retaliation” for Kimmel and others on the network who have spoken out against Trump.

Kimmel is expected to return to his show after Labor Day.
