I'm a Toronto girl living on Australia's Gold Coast, where I write about sex, love, sports, pop culture, and everything in between—all while somehow surviving law school.

This is just a generalization. Please don't take things personally!!

If you've ever seen me out and I didn't say hi, I promise I'm not rude—I probably just didn't realize it was you.

I think this might be subjective though so take this one with a grain of salt.

It's not like small-town people don't have aura. It's just different.

The sweetest girl from Melbourne came up to me at a bar and told me I was definitely not from here. Real recognize real.

I've recenlty met some really cool people who were born and raised here. You know who you are. LOVE YOU DOWN!!! <3333333

I dated a guy whose cousin was Drake's music producer, so we got tickets to his concert and were seated in the "OVO Family" section—where LeBron James just casually happened to be. I also met Drake's mom, who was absolutely lovely and didn't know any of his music. It was adorable.

I’ve also noticed that it’s pretty common for people in Toronto to speak more than one language. It’s such a multicultural city, and on top of that, most of us start learning French in school at a young age.

No shade to the typical Gold Coast man starter pack—they're just not my type!

I’m not a competitive person. If that’s how someone chooses to see things, so be it.

Sometimes there's this unspoken rule: they want you to do well, but not better.

Finding all the right ingredients can be a challenge on it's own.

Not to mention, a lot of the parents seem so young it almost feels like teen pregnancy!!

People will go to the opening of an envelope... It's kinda cute.

The mall culture in Toronto is dead. It's basically just a bunch of showrooms.
