We’re going to take a cue from Dolly Parton and just say, bless her heart.

Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of President Donald Trump, decided to share her favorite quote by the late country music legend after news broke Tuesday that Parton died at age 80. And let’s just say Ivanka Trump’s choice of quote was pretty rich considering it praises two qualities that her father does not embody: love and acceptance.

“A couple years ago on @lexfridman podcast I cited a piece of wisdom from @DollyParton that has resonated within me since I first heard it. ‘I don’t criticize and condemn; I love and accept,’” Trump had the nerve to write in an X post Tuesday.

After typing out some purple prose about how the quote is “deceptively simple,” she moved on to describe attributes about Parton that literally everyone loved.

“Goodbye to a bright light,” Trump wrote. “A peerless singer, incredible songwriter, gifted comic actress, tireless philanthropist, accomplished businesswoman and true original,”

And, of course, Trump concluded by interjecting herself.

“We never met but I adored and admired Dolly greatly,” she wrote.

A couple years ago on @lexfridman podcast I cited a piece of wisdom from @DollyParton that has resonated within me since I first heard it. "I don't criticize and condemn; I love and accept." That quote, like so much of what made Dolly Parton an American icon, was deceptively…

Trump’s choice of quote is especially interesting once you consider its source.

Parton gave it in 2023, in response to criticism when she recorded the duet “Either Or” with MAGA-loving Kid Rock, which was featured on her “Rockstar” album.

Although Trump sneakily chose to share a Parton quote that advocates for the tolerance of people like herself, the “deceptively simple” message behind the quote is that people should love and accept rather than criticize and condemn — ironic because her hot-tempered father does not follow Parton’s values on how people should be treated.

In response to Trump’s tweet, X users quickly pointed out that President Trump has a history of insulting his political opponents and belittling female reporters. Not to mention he rarely shows love for any of his five children — with the exception of Ivanka Trump.

Armed with these facts in mind, X users went off and brutally called out Trump — much like they did when right-wing pundit Megyn Kelly published a tribute to Parton on the same platform.

Why don’t you tell your Daddy he needs to treat LGBTQ and people of color as well as she did?? Or undocumented immigrants who do not deserve to be humiliated and beaten or killed!

lmfaoooooooo that’s a rich fucking thing for you to say

She was what you will never be.Dolly was a very authentic and philanthropic person. She gave so much to her community and the world. You and your family are corrupt grifters who are destroying our country.

Your father and brothers demonstrate precisely the opposite every hour of every day.

Why don’t you tell your father who degrades women every day to follow that advice?

And Dolly hated everything you and your disgusting family stands for so you might want to sit this one out Babe.

Get Dolly’s name out of your mouth you disgusting grifter. pic.twitter.com/XzYL2CCNOT

How dare you use this legend to better yourself when you know that you and your family are the exact opposite of what @DollyParton stood for. You can go and get fucked, and tell your fucking dad from me he’s a piece of shit.

What have you done for millions of kids with your ill gotten billions??? Nada. You couldn’t clean Dolly’s toilet much less be like her.

"I don't criticize and condemn; I love and accept."She was referring to the same people that your father criticizes, bullies, and condemns.
