Let’s recap in 30 seconds: Macklemore made a "Free Palestine" speech > Macklemore was dropped from the tour and released a statement > Ed Sheeran released a statement > his remaining support acts all dropped out and released statements.

You can read all about it in detail here.

Following the fallout, Macklemore announced in a statement that he would be donating his $1m (£750,000) earnings from the show to organisations supporting Palestinian people.

He also challenged Robert Kraft to match it.

"Earlier today, before Macklemore challenged me to match his donation, Ed called me and asked me to commit $2 million to match his donation to aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis," he wrote.

"Ed now plans to reach out to other venue owners and our goal is to continue to work together to build bridges."

He did not confirm whether he had committed to the $2m donation, nor which organisations it would go to.
