There are plenty of great games for us to choose from on Saturday. Utah vs. Houston is the last game of the night and one of the best on the schedule. The game of the evening is between Ole Miss and Texas, important for both teams if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive. A different game is drawing attention, though. LSU takes on Auburn in the early slate of games, and it is worth paying attention to it. 

LSU comes into the game ranked 18th in the nation. In their first season under Lane Kiffin, the team is 5-2 for the year with a 2-2 SEC record. We all know about the biggest loss on the schedule — that was to Ole Miss. However, a couple of weeks ago, they also lost on the road to Kentucky in overtime. Last week, they beat Mississippi State 31-0, essentially ending the Bulldogs’ playoff hopes. 

Auburn is 4-2 for the season, and they are just 2-2 in SEC play. Their two losses this year were to Florida and Tennessee. Florida looked like one of the best teams in the country at the time, and Tennessee is one of the ranked teams currently. Both teams were relatively close, but the most impressive work from the Tigers came last week as they went on the road and beat Georgia 27-24.
