The MAGA faithful got a bit worked up on Saturday after former President Barack Obama mocked President Donald Trump’s gold-plated Oval Office.

“I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but he seems very focused on home renovation,” Obama said. “He should be on HGTV. ... There’s gold everywhere. He’s got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory.”

While critics and opponents of Trump reveled in Obama’s roasting of the president, supporters instantly lashed out on social media.

Many critics accused Obama of being a snob, claiming his comments were directly insulting Cheesecake Factory itself and its customers.

“Has never been in a Cheesecake Factory. Undefeated at condescending to regular folks,” CNN host Scott Jennings wrote on X.

“Cheesecake Factory has good food, and it’s a place Americans can afford,” conservative commentator and close Trump ally Laura Loomer wrote.

Others chose to go after the design of Obama’s presidential library in Chicago and the former president’s wealth.

“Cheesecake Factory is a great option for people who can’t afford a private chef at their Martha’s Vineyard estate,” conservative commentator Mark Whitlock wrote.
