Trump Comms Chief Melts Down At Colbert In ‘Prick' Post

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung fired off a foul-mouthed post on Thursday to slam outgoing “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert. Cheung quote-posted on X a piece by Variety chief correspondent Daniel D’Addario arguing that Colbert’s soon-to-end show has become nothing more than an “ego trip” for the host, as guests pay “extensive tribute” to him ahead of his departure. Cheung — no stranger to parroting President Donald Trump’s divisive rhetoric in his vitriolic posts and statements — called Colbert, a fierce critic of the current White House, a “sad and pathetic excuse for a human being.” He continued: “He’s kicking and screaming like a baby because he’s an entitled prick who has lost touch with reality. The fact is that he will soon be forgotten because nobody likes a loser who killed the legacy of The Late Show.” Colbert has not commented on the post. CBS announced the cancellation of “The Late Show” in July 2025, days before the Trump administration approved a merger between its parent company, Paramount, and Skydance. Colbert’s final episode is set for May 21. By entering your email and clicking Sign Up, you're agreeing to let us send you customized marketing messages about us and our advertising partners.
