Swiss-Belhotel International has announced a series of new hotel management contract signings in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026, accelerating its expansion plans in Indonesia.

The company is broadening its presence across the archipelago to strengthen its market reach.

Key cities identified for expansion include Bali, Batam, Bengkulu, Central Kalimantan, Lampung, Semarang, Tangerang, and Yogyakarta.

The portfolio spans several market segments: luxury and upper upscale brands, including MĀUA by Swiss-Belhotel and Grand Swiss-Belhotel; midscale Swiss-Belinn and Swiss-Belcourt properties; and economy offerings through Swiss-Belexpress.

These varied products address growing demand among leisure travellers, corporate clients, and the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector across Indonesia.

Swiss-Belhotel International chairman and president Gavin Faull said: “Indonesia remains a cornerstone of our global vision. The continued trust from our partners and our multi-brand approach allows us to deliver solutions that are relevant, sustainable, and aligned with local market dynamics.”

Swiss-Belhotel International E-commerce, IT and distribution executive director and senior vice-president Matthew Faull said: “Our physical expansion is fully supported by strong digital infrastructure, ensuring each property is integrated into our global systems and positioned competitively in an evolving marketplace.”

The company aims to surpass 530 operating properties worldwide by 2033. Alongside continued growth in Indonesia, the group is also expanding further into Australasia, Africa, China, Malaysia, the Middle East and Vietnam.

It has over 120 hotels and projects in Indonesia and more than 165 properties across 20 countries worldwide, with a focus on strategic growth.

In November 2025, Swiss-Belhotel entered a management agreement with Bawareq Nizwa International For Investment SAOC to operate a new property in Nizwa, Oman.

"Swiss-Belhotel expands in Indonesia with new contracts in Q1 2026" was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
