I am a contributor who has been writing for BuzzFeed Shopping for two years, with a focus on products that make parenting just a bit easier — and hopefully more fun — home decor, kitchen gadgets, and whatever deals I can scope out. Promising review: "I like this alarm clock because I keep my room dark and struggle waking up in the morning. The 'sunrise' light gradually increases to wake you up. It's the best alternative to the more expensive Hatch and no app needed — you set up, and it's good to go!" —Ma Transitions are a CONSTANT battle in my house and have been since toddlerhood. Add a little "neuro-spiciness" into the mix, and we have either major time blindness or zero patience for transitions WITH NO MIDDLE GROUND. A visual timer has been so helpful for both of my kids and has given us all a little more harmony. I wish I had gotten one sooner. Promising review: "Awesome, easy to use." —Erik Promising review: "I bought this for my daily protein shakes. I have to say I am impressed with how powerful it is and so easy to use and wash. After three days of having at least two shakes daily, I began to wonder why the battery was still going strong. To my surprise, it lasted me 6 days before I needed to recharge. So far I love it!" —rrondon Price: $39.88+ (originally $54.99+; available in three colors) Promising review: "I will never go without an Instant Pot again. I used to be scared of them and actually tossed my first one out from fear. But I decided to try it again when I got into making bone broths and didn't want to wait 24 hours for one batch. It was easy to figure out and set up … I use it every day. I've cooked a frozen chuck roast in 90 minutes, and it was falling apart, whole chickens in 30 minutes, cabbage in five minutes, rich bone broths in two hours, and more. You won't regret buying it. I even dreamed one night that something happened to it and was running to the store for another one." —Brooklyn Price: $74.87+ (available in three sizes and three colors) Promising review: "Best coffee pot ever! Tired of paying for K-Cups. The single cup option uses real coffee, and I can use my favorite brand or make a whole pot. This one is a winner." —Sherry Price: $59.99+ (originally $88.95; available in two colors) Promising review: "I love the Dr. Brown's Mixer. It saves time and saves wasted milk that ends up on the counter when making bottles. It also saves money from wasted milk bottles because you can just pour an ounce if your child just wants a top-off. Remember that the amount you make will rise based on the formula increasing the volume, so if you are making exactly enough, take that into consideration so you don't have too much milk." —Lynda Promising review: "The instructions for the bottle warmer are very self-explanatory, and the operation is very easy. It heats formula and breast milk alike effectively and evenly in a timely manner. I also heated baby food with it, too, and it does an amazing job. Unlike my old warmer, which does not have a lid, the lid traps the steam, making my kitchen less humid, and it does the heating more efficiently. Overall, it's a great product due to said facts." —Luke Price: $39.99+ (available in three colors) Promising review: "Amazing product and does a wonderful job cleaning the bottles and drying them up without a stain. Used washers from other rival brands but this one stands out. The rapid mode is a really useful and time-saving feature." —Vasanth For the longest time, I was using a dustpan and broom to get my kid's crumbs after meals. It wasn't that big of a deal, but it was annoying. I finally decided to treat myself to a handheld vacuum, and I literally do not regret anything but waiting so long to get one. It's one of those really small things that really did make one part of parenting so much less work. Now that my baby is a big kid, she happily vacuums up after meals that are somehow still messy years later. Promising review: "Extremely convenient, especially for the stairwell, light fixtures, sofas, and cushions. Problems with messes from kids and pets ought to be easier to handle. The wall mount and charger assure a full charge whenever needed." —Stan With my first, I got so many bibs. They worked for liquids only, but when we introduced solids, I realized they were NOT going to work anymore. One run-in with spaghetti and the thing was absolutely ruined for good. Once I found these, I realized just how much of my laundry was bibs, and this cut down on a ton of stress. When my daughter was finished eating, I'd wash it in soapy water and hang it on the high chair for the next use. I even stashed one in the diaper bag for meals out. Promising review: "Very creatively designed bib. Especially for people like me who hate cleaning bib stains, all the dirt washes right off. The only downside to it is that the dirt doesn't get absorbed and can get on the baby's face if you don't remove it from the bib in time. Would definitely recommend!!" —Akiva Price: $10+ for four bibs (originally $18.99; available in three color sets) Promising review: "Absolutely fabulous; game changer. I have all tile flooring and pets that make messes. This Bissell hard floor cleaner gives the floor a nice clean shine in no time. I like that the cord is long enough to get to several rooms without having a short length hindrance. The swivel feature is a plus. I have been previously using the traditional mop and bucket system, which does not clean as thoroughly or as fast as this Bissell product. I like the self-cleaning option after you're done mopping to keep the brush clean, but I also like that the brush can easily be removed and put back in place for extra cleaning." —MomsDaughter Price: $149 (originally $249; available in a variety of mop formulas) This is the brand I use for both of my kids, and I absolutely love these bags. They're so easy to store, and there's ice on both sides — ensuring safe food no matter when their lunchtime is. It's nice to be able to send a string cheese without remembering the room-temp, rubbery-by-midday cheese stick of my youth. 🤢 Promising review: "I love this pack. I found the smaller pouch in person with the same space theme, and I bought this one to match. It keeps my food cold for hours. The battery for my company vehicle went out on a hot, muggy, southern morning after I grabbed some perishable groceries. I shoved as much as I could into this pack, and it saved my food until roadside assistance showed up. Amazing design." —Jenna Price: $26.99 (available in 19 designs). Grapes, tomatoes, and other small fruits and veggies are choking hazards until AGE 4. FOUR. I was shocked when I learned that. Since you're going to be cutting grapes and tomatoes for a long time, you might as well make it easier on yourself. Promising review: "Easy to use and easy to clean." —Brig Promising review: "I love that the play yard is very easy to set up. My 1-year-old loves it. She has a lot of space to move around and play with her toys. I am able to watch her play in it while I work. It has helped us a lot because she likes to climb. It is made very well, and the bag it is in makes it easy to transport. I am a little upset my friends with kids didn't let me know about the play yard sooner!" —Jessica Promising review: "Super easy to put together. My 3-year-old grandson helped and had a good time, and then he was excited to use what he made. It folds up for storage, and he was able to put it on the toilet himself from the folded position." —Sarah Price: $34.97+ (available in two colors). Promising review: "Lightweight, sturdy, and at a great price. Perfect height for a 4-year-old to look in the mirror and wash hands without the risk of a step sliding. Easy wipe for keeping clean; many times better than a wooden one, which was loud when accidentally moved and was a constant toe stub issue." —Norma I recently switched my fine-haired daughter over to this leave-in conditioner, and we both love it! The citrus vanilla scent is SO good, and it actually works. I can spray this on wet hair after a shower or on a knot in dry hair, and it's equally great. Promising review: "The product was light and refreshing. Not too heavy on my daughter's hair. Definitely helped with the static and tangles. Enjoy using this!" —Brooke Price: $6.96+ (also available in a two-pack). Promising review: "When I bought this, I wondered how different it would be from the original. Well, let me tell you it's very different. It's a game changer for people with long, thick hair like mine. The bristles are strong yet flexible and untangle my hair with ease, and cause no pain to my head. I just highly recommend this for people with long, thick hair." —Samantha I recently switched over to an electric toothbrush for my kids because I was tired of them popping out of the bathroom after 15 seconds proudly saying they brushed their teeth. This has helped take SO much stress out of the brushing process. Promising review: "This is the third time we've purchased this toothbrush. One of the kids dropped theirs one too many times, and it stopped working—but this was after four years of use. It's easy to use, gives little vibratory clues to the user that it's time to move to a different section every 30 seconds, and stops after two minutes." —elleGee177 Promising review: "I've been using the digital calendar for our family, and it's made staying organized so much easier. Now, my family and kids can be reminded and add events onto the calendar without it being all just on me. I can also add a chore list /reminders for all the members, and that way, nothing slips through our fingers. The large touchscreen display is super clear and easy to use, and I love that it syncs everything from your own phone without needing a subscription. I absolutely love it, especially when it's in sleep mode. It displays pictures of my family, and I just love watching it or catching a glimpse of it when cooking." —Irina Price: $196+ (originally $299.99+; available in two sizes and two frame colors) Promising review: "The quality is fantastic!!" —Erika Price: $105.60+ (originally $209.99; available in three colors) Price: $364.99+ (available in two colors) Promising review: "These shoelaces are easy to use, you put them in, you tie them once, and that’s it. My sneakers stretched to go on and off each day." —Derek Price: $7.73+ (available in four colors) Promising review: "I love this chargeable task timer! It's great for keeping track of chores, work, or study time. The visual countdown makes it easy to stay on task. Compact, cool design." —Evelyn Promising review: "I love this battery bank. It has all the different cords that you need, so you don't have to carry three or four different cords in your purse. I bought one for my grandson so he can stick it in his pocket on bike rides. It isn't very heavy. I love the way the numbers light up, so you know how much battery is left, no guessing. Overall, it's a very well-made product and is perfect for what I needed." —Tina Price: $19.84+ (available in two colors) Promising review: "We put this in the middle of the backseat of the car. It holds drive-thru food and drinks. It's also good for holding light groceries when you don't want to deal with opening and closing the trunk or hatch all the way in the back. Just remember to slip the seatbelt in its back so it wouldn't fall to the floor when you brake." —Walmart customer Promising review: "I purchased these devices after seeing the mom on Shark Tank who designed the device. I gave one to my new-mom friend with long nails and another to a grandmother with arthritis. The feedback I received was that grandma would not have been able to get her granddaughter out of the rear-facing car seat without this device. I now give them as baby shower gifts!!" —Susan * If You Want To Encourage Your Kids' Independence, You’ll Want These 30 Products * I’m Sorry It Took Me So Long To Tell You About These 27 Parenting Products * Just 30 Essential Products For Road Trips With Kids * These 27 Products Will Help Turn Your Yard Into Your Kid’s Favorite Place * Things For Parents Who Want To Get Their Kids Excited For Back-To-School Plus, kids' rugs and chairs, and finds from Uncommon Goods, Target, and Walmart.
