You don’t have to invest three digits to see an impact in your home.

There are all sorts of impactful home upgrades you can make without spending tons and tons of dough or time. For example, some peel-and-stick floor tiles to cover up an ugly bathroom floor, a faucet extender that'll make washing your face so much easier, and even a slim storage cart that'll easily shimmy into all sorts of places around your home.

Promising review: "So cute and most people are shocked it’s peel and stick!!!" —Christine Mack

Promising review: "I recently got these Tibetan floor wax sticks, and they're like magic wands for your floors and furniture! Got a scratch? No problem. Just wave one of these sticks over it, and voilà — scratch be gone! It's like having a tiny wizard in your cleaning arsenal. These wax sticks fill in scratches on the floor and furniture like a charm. My floors and furniture look brand new, and I didn't even have to cast a spell. Highly recommend!" —b4komer

Promising review: "Worked wonders! I spilled nail polish remover on my nightstand. This worked like magic! Just rub lightly with the cloth." —JMac

Promising review: "I had one of these tablecloths in a wood grain and was looking for a checked pattern, but in burgundy instead of a true red. I finally found the right color and am very happy with it! Something as little as a tablecloth can really brighten up a very dated kitchen. Easy to wipe down, it was very easy to put on, and it stays in place because of the elastic around the edges. Well made and recommended." —Ellen M. Dubois

Promising review: "I went in skeptical, I'm not going to lie. We had grease spilled on our brand-new paver patio. The grease had been sitting for a few weeks, and I saw an ad for this stuff. I ordered it to try because why not? Well, I'll be damned because this took the spots right off! No evidence we ever spilled anything! I'd buy it again." —Susan

Sheet Keeper is a small biz specializing in this product.

Promising review: "These sheet keepers are the best! I use the king size ones to keep my quilts nice and organized. The heavy duty elastic is very secure but also soft. I highly recommend these! I’m going to get them for all of my blankets! They also come in various sizes. Great for their intended purpose of keeping sheets together too. I find that the king-size ones fit nicely on folded quilts!" —amy cartwright

Get two bands from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in six sizes).

Promising review: "So I bought this product back in 2023 and put it in my little toolbox and didn’t touch it, eventually forgot about it. Bought it to use on my brass faucet that is an absolute nightmare to clean and keep clean. It’s gorgeous when polished, and I’d used jewelers' sticks to polish it with etc. within the day it was tarnishing. So while looking for another item in my toolbox, I came across this product and decided to give it a try.

It was absolutely amazing!!! So much easier than the Dremel polishing tool and a red polish stick. For how long it will last is yet to be seen, I just put it on today so fingers crossed it lasts for me because I was ready to get rid of that faucet set and find another. Mind you, I’ve had this in my house for 25 years and was in the house when I bought it, it stayed looking like the first picture I’m going to post, and drove me crazy!!!🤪" —Nora

Promising review: "These work exceptionally well to decrease musty smells in seldom-used areas. I always have one in a spare bedroom and in the cellar. Easy to use. Hang them up and change them every month or so, depending on the humidity in the area." —HSG

"A necessity for dorms. Collects moisture! Just hang and leave alone. collects moisture." —Kelly Christie

Get a three-pack from Amazon for $16.99.

Promising review: "I really like this faucet attachment. It was very easy to install, and I use it every day for washing my face and cleaning out my sink bowl. The different spray angles make it much more convenient than a standard faucet. The only thing to keep in mind is that it increases the water pressure quite a bit, so you'll need to get used to turning the faucet on more slowly to avoid splashing. Overall, it's a great upgrade and I'm very happy with it." —Hunter Elise Yegge

Light Dims is a small biz specializing in this product.

Promising review: "I bought these to put on the LED on my external hard drive because it was very bright and it worked great. The whole thing was smaller than I thought but it's great to cover up some small LEDs if they really bother you." —F. M.

Get a sheet of 100 from Amazon for $5.48.

If you need to cover up bigger light sources, check out larger dimming sheets.

Promising review: "Pricey but worth it! My patio cushion covers would have cost a fortune to replace, given their unique shape. This is the ONLY fabric spray that has EVER held true to its promise of preserving the fabric’s original soft texture. Shake Suddenly Sapphire well, it will need at least three coats for an even application because it comes out very fine. Example: I needed one whole can for the first coat on the tops and sides of two cushions. At $14 a can, it can get up there, but it’s still better than replacing cushions!" —Juanita

Get it from The Home Depot for $14.98 (available in eight colors).

Promising review: "Something as simple as organizing your straws makes a world of difference. Sounds crazy, but I used to keep every drawer I got and practically took up a whole drawer. Now, after I threw away many I didn’t need, I have them all together (even my Stanley straws) and an empty drawer. Love it ." —Amazon Customer

Check out a TikTok of the appliance sliders in action.

Promising review: "These were easy to install right on top of the gripper feet already on the bottom of our coffee maker. With lower height upper cabinets, it's impossible to open the coffee filter and to refill the water tank on the back. Keeping it pulled out makes my tiny kitchen well... tinier. DON'T BUY THE WOOD SLIDER, these are cheaper, take up less space, can slide in any direction, and are one less to clean from coffee drips. These make a two-arm, loud, pull a one-finger push. These would be perfect for anyone with many appliances clogging their counters and individuals with decreased upper-body strength." —sara

Get a set of 24 from Amazon for $7.99+ (available in five sizes).

I have VERY narrow kitchen drawers in my NYC one-bedroom apartment kitchen and buying one of these organizers has transformed my cutlery drawer. I'm able to safely reach in and grab whatever I need (like a manual can opener for tuna salad or a mini whisk for a hot chocolate) without having to sift tools around.

Promising review: "Honestly, way better than I thought it was going to be! Perfect size for my tiny kitchen drawer space, and organized very conveniently. It’s sturdier than expected and holds more than I thought it would. Just make sure you don’t have abnormally large/long cutlery and this’ll be great!" —Kaylie

Promising review: "Fit perfectly between my washer and dryer to organize and store laundry supplies, etc. Good quality for the price and easy to assemble. Recommend 10/10." —cristy

Get it from Amazon for $19.94 (available in six colors).

I've been in my apartment for years and had all but resigned to having extremely disorganized cleaning supplies...that is 'til a whole bunch of them tumbled in an avalanche on top of me one day when I opened the closet. There's something about a broom handle smacking you square in the nose to serve as a wakeup call. I easily mounted both of these to a closet wall, where they now hold my broom and Swiffer. They do a good job *keeping* the grip on the handles when I inevitably bump into them. The cleaning tools may sway a little bit when bumped, but just a teensy bit. I cannot believe I waited so long to make the (v small) investment in these, but I'm glad that I finally did.

Promising review: "These adhere so well to my old walls and keep my mops and brooms up off of the floor and out of the way. The use of vertical space in a tiny kitchen is of utmost importance, and these do the trick. To my absolute amazement, these were able to hold up a completely full, large Swiffer mopping solution container in a Swiffer mop with no difficulty. I fully expected the mop to fall to the floor while I was sleeping, but it's still hanging up high. When I redo my kitchen, I will be painting them the same color as my wall to make them fade away, but as is, they still don't stick out like a sore thumb. I can't believe I waited years to buy these and months to install them!" —ChrisT

I bought this compact beaut after including it in many stories like this. I have a teeny tiny NYC kitchen and try to cook a lot of meals at home. That means I create a lot of trash, even though I compost food scraps. I use this as my main trash can and repurpose plastic grocery bags as garbage bin liners. It's the perfect amount of garbage to accumulate before things really start to stink up my place. (Psst, I keep my compost in the freezer.)

Promising review: "Fits great in my tiny NYC kitchen. My dog, aka garbage dog, cannot get to it either.'" —Caitlyn

Get it from Amazon for $20.99+ (available in three colors).

Promising review: "I have a tiny little galley kitchen, and all of my spices were jammed into one crowded shelf of a top cabinet. Whenever I needed to pull something out, it required a lengthy round of hide and seek, and it was generally a safe bet that several random jars were going to land on the counter, sometimes resulting in a shower of broken glass sprinkled all over whatever I was preparing. It was worth every penny. I installed it easily in just a few minutes, and it solved my problem and is a joy to use. It's sturdy as heck and extremely well made. I'm looking around for where else I can use one of their drawers, but sadly nothing else seems to lend itself to this simple, elegant solution." —LMc

Like I said up there, I have one of these in my spice cabinet and use it for my most-used seasoning. Being able to quickly grab garlic powder while I'm cooking something on the stove is incredibly helpful. The nonskid liner really keeps stuff in place, so spices don't go flying when spinning. I feel like I get a lot more use out of that spice shelf (and the seasonings on it) than I would otherwise.

Get two from Amazon for $19.35 (available in four colors).

Promising review: "I love these! I have a tiny kitchen in my apartment and only have 1.5 upper cabinets, and 2 lower cabinets. So space is very limited. I bought these hoping they’d give me some extra storage space, and they did not disappoint. The magnet is super strong, they’re not going anywhere. They seem to hold a lot of weight. I feel like I have a decent amount of spices, and they hold them all. They also come with hooks, which is nice, but I haven’t put them to use yet." —Jasmine Borden

Promising review: "Where do I start? I absolutely LOVE this product. I wanted to replace our bathroom mirror, but due to the size, it would have cost a lot! I came across this on Amazon and decided to give it a try. The application process was super easy and applied without bubbles as long as you go slow and rub it down as you go. I kid you not. It looks like wood and feels like it, too! You can feel and see the 'wood grain.' It’s absolutely stunning and looks like I bought a whole new mirror." —Taylor

Promising review: "I have a weird skinny window in my house where no normal window covering works. People walking on our community trail can see up into our upstairs bathroom when the light is on and it's dark outside. Not a good plan at all. So I used this window film and cut different-sized circles and placed then on this window to interrupt the view into the house. Worked perfectly! Very easy to use." —Marsgard

It has three different brightness options so you can set *~the mood~* perfectly. It also requires AA batteries, so be sure to pick those up as well.

Promising review: "This light is great!!! It has three settings, to adjust the amount of brightness you need. Lowest level is great for just sitting around your patio table and having a couple of drinks with friends. Brightest setting is PERFECT for playing cards! We play cards a few times a month. We decided to try and play outside. There are two 70+-year-olds who did not complain that they couldn’t see. So, works great in my book! 😁" —Mandie Jordan

I've used this several times on my rental bathroom tiled floor and normally have to redo annually. But it's so cheap that it's totally worth it. If you're doing it on tiled walls or backsplashes, the effect tends to last longer.

Promising review: "I installed an expensive soft white tile (if there is such a thing) floor in the kitchen when I bought my house. At the time, it was a new product and it was beautiful – that fuzzy, warm feeling changed the first time I dropped a fork. I have been so frustrated no wanting to rip up and put down replacement tiles. The grout pen made it look new again, I am thrilled with the results!" —K. Robles

This kit comes with separate-to-apply elements, so it'll work on a variety of window dimensions. If this isn't quite your style, there are lots of other stained glass window decals and window cling styles.

Promising review: "These stained glass decals worked great on the fireplace windows in my early 1900s bungalow. If you get up close, or look at them from the outside, it's pretty obvious they aren't real, but you'd have to be looking really closely. Don't forget to buy one package of caming lines for each set of decals, you'll need it. If you're someone who gets stressed about applying sticky things, or making things straight, don't worry too much about it. I am really bad at that stuff typically and I found it really easy. Wash your windows first, measure so you have a rough idea of where to put the center decal, and keep some scissors on hand to cut the caming. It's easy and so cool! Our house already has a lot of 'old house charm' so these fit in perfectly." —Linds

Promising review: "Love this so much. We have a textured bath/shower surround in the place we rent, which also includes one of those tiny little bathtubs that adults can’t fit into. This thing stuck where other suctioned products could not. I can’t believe it. After buying this, it made the bath situation 1,000% better. I am able to fill the tub nearly all the way up, making baths so much more enjoyable. I love it." —Emma
